: (1) Except in cases where it is not necessary to register according to section 6, after filing the application for registration of patent according to section 4, the department should carry out the necessary examination according to section 5 and give the certificate of registration to the applicant in the format according to schedule-2(a).
(2) In order to obtain the certificate as per sub-section (1), the applicant must submit the registration fee as specified in (b) of Schedule-3(1) to the department.
